StonkFun vs UP9000: choosing a token launchpad

By UP90003 min read

StonkFun and UP9000 both make the pairing asset part of a token launch. The important differences are the network, the market setup and the assets your community can use.

The short answer

  • StonkFun uses Solana and a Raydium market in its launch flow.
  • UP9000 uses BNB Smart Chain with curve trading before pool graduation.
  • Choose based on current availability and the path your buyers will take.
StonkFun leads to a Raydium market on Solana. UP9000 leads from a bonding curve to a PancakeSwap pool on BNB Smart Chain.

Different paths to a market

StonkFun describes creating a token with a fixed supply and a Raydium market. Its launch form offers quote categories including stocks, currencies and custom assets. The form also states that image and metadata are stored on Arweave.

UP9000 starts trading on a bonding curve. Reaching the configured quote target makes the token eligible for graduation into PancakeSwap Infinity. The final token logo is stored as onchain data rather than depending only on an uploaded website image.

A stock pair is not a stock offering

A new coin paired with a tokenized stock is still a different token. It does not inherit the rights of the stock token, and a company themed name does not establish an endorsement.

For either platform, check the exact pairing contract and the issuer terms. Availability in a token list is not evidence that every visitor is eligible to use that asset.

Think through the first buyer journey

Picture a member of your community seeing the launch link for the first time. Do they already have a compatible wallet? Are their funds on the correct network? Do they own the quote asset and enough of the network currency for gas?

A pair can be interesting while still adding steps. If your community mostly holds BNB, starting with a BNB pair can reduce the number of assets they need to obtain. If a stock pair is central to the idea, explain exactly what they will spend and receive.

  • Network first, then wallet and funding.
  • Pair identity before price.
  • Live trade quote before transaction approval.

Review creator options instead of assuming parity

Different launchpads offer different creator controls. A setting on StonkFun should not be assumed to exist on UP9000, and similar labels do not necessarily distribute fees in the same way.

On UP9000, use the launch review to confirm the creator recipient, rewards and any added creator tax. Read the token details for its buyback and lock settings. Do not confuse locked tokens with tokens removed from supply by a burn.

Which should you choose?

Evaluate UP9000 when BNB Chain and its available quote assets fit your community. Evaluate StonkFun when its Solana market flow fits better. The right comparison is practical, not a promise that one platform will bring more volume.
